How a booking comes together.

1. Your own booking pages
Create as many booking pages as you need — new patients, follow-ups, per practitioner or per location — each with its own link and its own rules.
2. Embedded on your website
Every page comes with an embed snippet, so booking lives on your own site and your own domain instead of sending patients off to a third-party link.
3. Smart slot matching
Availability is filtered by practitioner, appointment type, duration and location, with minimum notice and how far ahead patients may book set per page.
4. Verify, then hold
A one-time code by email confirms the person booking. Pages can be limited to existing patients, held for approval, or auto-confirmed after a window you choose.
5. Intake, consent and confirmation
Each booking page carries the intake form you choose, and any intake form can be sent for a particular booking. Answers land on the patient record, then a confirmation email goes out in your own wording, followed by reminders.

Practitioner calendar feeds are one-way out of HeroMed, so edits made in Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar do not write back. Patients change an appointment by contacting the practice — including on the phone with the Reception Hero — rather than through a self-service reschedule link. Deposits and card capture at the time of booking are not currently part of Booking Hero, and freed slots are offered by the practice rather than filled by an automatic waitlist.

A standalone scheduling widget creates a second diary to keep in sync. A patient booking system built into the practice platform does not: the booking page, the phone agent, the front desk and the clinical record all write to the same calendar, so double bookings and re-keyed intake forms simply do not happen.
