What happened to HeroMed Prime, and what does HeroMed Core AI cover?
HeroMed Core AI is the platform we sell today, and it covers everything a South African practice needs: online booking and diary, patient records, clinical notes with the AI Scribe included, invoicing and reporting, optional AI Hero modules, and real-time medical scheme EDI claim submission with remittance handling and reconciliation. HeroMed Prime was the earlier South African claims edition; it is still supported for practices already on it, but new practices start on Core AI.

The short version
HeroMed Prime was our separate South African claims edition. Everything it did — real-time medical scheme EDI claim submission, remittance handling and reconciliation — now runs inside HeroMed Core AI, alongside the diary, patient records, clinical notes and invoicing. There is one product to choose, and it works whether you bill medical schemes, cash patients, or both.
What HeroMed Core AI covers
- Online booking and diary, with intake forms attached to a booking page or sent for an individual booking
- Patient records and clinical notes, with the AI Scribe included — the practitioner reviews and signs every note
- Invoicing, reporting and payment reconciliation
- Real-time South African medical scheme claim submission, with rejections in a worklist and remittances reconciled against the original claim lines
- Optional AI Hero modules: AI Reception, AI Booking, AI Invoicing, AI Messaging and AI Marketing
Plans are published per practice with a monthly AI credit allowance included, and modules are added only if you need them.

Nothing breaks. Your account, billing and support continue as normal, and you sign in from the Log in button on this site or directly at legacy.heromed.app. If you would like to move onto Core AI, contact us and we will walk you through it.
