The short version

HeroMed is practice software built by people who have worked in medical practices, for practices that are tired of doing admin by hand. It replaces the mix of diary, notes, invoicing and claims tools most practices run, and puts an AI Scribe in the middle of it so clinical notes are drafted rather than typed.

What is in the Core AI plan

  • Online appointment booking and a multi-practitioner diary
  • Patient records, history and document storage
  • Clinical notes with the AI Scribe included — it drafts the note and the practitioner reviews, corrects and signs it
  • Invoicing, payments and reconciliation
  • Practice reporting

Core AI plans start at $49 per month, with $99 and $249 tiers and a custom tier for larger groups. AI features draw on the AI credits included with the plan, which can be topped up if a practice uses more.

What the optional AI Hero modules add

HeroMed is modular on purpose — a solo practitioner should not pay for a multi-site setup. Modules you can add as the practice needs them:

  • AI Reception — voice answering and call handling
  • AI Booking — automated booking, reminders and no-show reduction
  • AI Invoicing — invoice generation and payment follow-up
  • AI Messaging — patient communication
  • AI Marketing — recalls, campaigns and patient re-engagement

What HeroMed Prime is

HeroMed Prime is the South African claims product: real-time medical scheme EDI claim submission, remittance handling and reconciliation, at R1,045 per month including VAT. Practices whose revenue runs through medical schemes usually need it; cash and out-of-pocket practices usually do not.

Who it is for

Solo practitioners through to multi-site groups, across general practice and allied health — physiotherapy, chiropractic, osteopathy, podiatry, dietetics, occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology and counselling.

Where it operates

South Africa and Australia, with the claiming and coding differences handled per market.
